I’ve got your passport!

First week of November was a very interesting one work-wise. We had a Consular worker from Consulate General of Finland (New York) with whom we made passports for the Finnish citizens. As the Lake Worth / South Florida area is buzzling with Finns, we made almost 60 passports during the week.

And there would have been more, so we squeezed our timetable, skipped a lunch and took more customers for the appointments. Still, there would have been more customers who would have wanted to have the passport! The Consulate General brings the passport machine to Lake Worth two times a year, in October / November and again in February / March – so I will get to make passports on another time as well.

The week was extremely tough, but interesting as well! I had a pleasant co-worker from New York, working with her was easy and efficient – and she was an amazing person as well, which is always a nice plus-side 🙂

Below is an article, which was published in a Finnish newspaper here in Florida. On my left is Kristiina Messia de Prado from New York, and on my right my boss, the Honorary Consul of Finland in Florida.
